Summer is a state of mind. Share your positive vibes with a friend by sending him a palm postcard. I made this DIY card with an easy printmaking technique: potato printing. You just need a potato and a knife. Follow my easy step by step approach to get the best results.

MoneyPost cards: 1,79€ / 25 cards = 0,07€ per card

You are not satisfied with your drawing skills? As I already mentioned, I wouldn’t consider myself as a talented drawer. But that does not mean that I am not creative and not able to make beautiful paintings. It is all about the right technique: the second Printmaking-technique that I would like to introduce to you is called “random items”. So get creative and search some random things at your home that you can use for making your unique prints.

I collected some inspiring prints on my Pinterest pinboard and some pictures of items that can be used for printmaking.

DIY Fox Wall Sculpture

When I was searching for some inspiration for my bare walls at home, I came across Bongo Design. The industrial designer behind this trademark is Magdalena Chojnacka. She produces unique interior objects. They are all hand crafted with a lot of passion and high quality. Her website inspired me for my next DIY project. In this post you can find my easy 4 step tutorial for a fox wall sculpture.

  1. Source of inspiration

After getting inspired by Bongo Design, I made a new pinboard on Pinterest with animal wall sculptures.

  1. Required supplies

 Hot Glue Gun sticks: 9,61€ / 20 pieces = 0,16€ per wall sculpture(1/3 piece)

Plastic tubes: 2,99€ / (25cm x 150 = 3750 cm) =  0,21€ per wall sculpture/ 259cm

  1.  head: 1 x 5cm, 2 x 6cm, 1 x 8cm, 4 x 9cm
  2. snout: 2 x 17 cm, 2x 20cm, 1 x 4cm
  3. ears: 2 x 25 cm, 2 x 35 cm = 259cm

 Nylon thread: 2,42€ / 100m = 0,07€ / ~3m per wall sculpture

A few month ago I became aunt of a little nice – finally a girl in our family! For the baptism of her I was searching for a personal gift, but I was struggling to find something. Then I saw this really nice “Himmeli mobile” on Pinterest. I tried to make it by myself and will share my easy DIY 4 step approach with you in this blog post.

  1. Source of inspiration

I created a pinboard on Pinterest with all Himmeli mobile’s that I loved.

2. Required supplies

Money Hot Glue Gun sticks: 9,61€ / 20 pieces = 0,16€ per Himmeli mobile (1/3 piece)

Money Drinking Straw: 1,59€ / (24cm x 50 = 1200 cm) =  0,57€ per Himmeli mobile (430 cm = 4 cubes à 12 x 5cm, 1 triangle à 6 x 5cm  & 1 diamond à 5x 18 cm / 5x 6 cm / 5 x 8 cm)

Money Nylon thread: 2,42€ / 100m = 0,03€ / ~1m per Himmeli mobile

Total cost per Himmeli mobile = 0,76€ (excl. Hot Glue Gun)

A few months ago, I bought some nice side tables for my couch. When I was laying on my sofa in the evening, I was always facing the problem that I have no proper light to read a book. That is why I decided to build a table lamp for my side table. In an easy 4 step approach I will show you how to get the best results.

I created a pinboard on pinterest with all table lamps that I loved to get inspired for my own creation.

2. Required supplies

Money Hot Glue Gun sticks: 9,61€ / 20 pieces = 0,16€ per table lamp (1/3 piece)

Money Plastic tubes: 2,99€ / (25cm x 150 = 3750 cm) =  0,24€ per table lamp / (5 x 25-30cm, 5 x 15cm & 5 x 10cm, 5x 5cm = 300 cm)

Money Nylon thread: 2,42€ / 100m = 0,08€ / ~4m per table lamp

Money Lamp equipment: 6,99€ per  table lamp
